Tailored to the file
Each investigation is shaped to the needs of the file, whether at your specific direction or completely independent, drawing on our years of experience with common-sense investigation.
Expertise
Insurance companies assign us the claims where the facts matter: who was where, what happened, and where the fault lies. Here is the work we do and how we do it.
Claim types
The files vary. The discipline behind them does not: gather the facts of the accident and give the insurance company a clear, supportable opinion.
Motor vehicle liability investigations, including scene documentation and statements from the parties involved.
Premises liability incidents where the condition of a walkway, stair, store floor or property is in question.
Animal liability claims, including the circumstances of the incident and the history of the animal where it can be established.
Investigation of workplace injury claims on behalf of the carrier.
Assault and liquor-liability incidents at bars, restaurants and licensed premises.
If your liability file does not fit one of these categories, describe it on the assignment form or call us. We will tell you plainly whether it is work we do.
Assign a claimHow an investigation works
An investigator assigned to the file travels to the people and the places involved. Nothing here is outsourced.
We meet with the individuals involved in the accident to obtain their written or recorded statement.
Photographs of the accident location, taken by the investigator assigned to the file.
Official reports and municipal records gathered to establish the facts of the incident.
We canvass the accident area for potential witnesses, including blind and cold calls to surrounding neighborhoods, and obtain their statements where possible.
The facts are analyzed and reported to the insurance company with our opinion on where the fault lies.
